Safe Travel for All Children: Transporting Children with Special Health Care Needs

“Safe Travel For All Children: Transporting Children with Special Health Care Needs” is a two-day enrichment course designed for Child Passenger Safety Technicians who are interested in expanding their knowledge on transporting children with special health care needs.

The course involves both class room lecture and hands on skills assessment. At the end of the course students are expected to be able to assess children’s transportation needs and demonstrate proper use and installation of the appropriate restraint. Family visits are also included in the course for participants to receive hands on experience in working with children with special health care needs.
